Santa Barbara Firm Awarded Lockheed Contract

Sealtight® Technology announced today they have been awarded the contract to supply their Hi-Tech patented self-sealing fasteners to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control to support America’s next generation anti-missile system. The award will, after Phase I testing, result in a considerable ramp up in production at Sealtight® requiring the hiring of additional employees.

Sealtight® Technology headquarters are on Hollister Ave., in Goleta, California and have for the last fifteen years designed, manufactured and distributed patented self-sealing fasteners, screws, nuts, bolts and washers. While fulfilling multi-million part orders for companies like Medtronic in the medical field, their clients also include, Boeing,, GE, I Robot, L-3 Comm., Raytheon, NASA, Schlumberger, Walt Disney Imagineering, Cal Tech, & Cal Berkley to name just a few. Sealtight® Technology’s chief design engineers include Diana S. Bogatz, the first female engineer to be hired by Hughes Aircraft. Mrs. Bogatz led the missile team that designed the advanced “Sidewinder”, carried by America’s fighter aircraft. Along with her husband Larry J. Bogatz, also a design engineer, former Navy Seabee and author of numerous articles in sealing technology.
